So after a great shop yesterday stocking up on puppy treats and kettle chips, we are off to enjoy this beautiful Sunday! It's Sunny, warm (86) , and we plan on enjoying the day outside. Don't forget to pick up your coupons today!
Yesterday we had the opportunity to play with the new self check out at our local Publix. It allows you to scan and bag everything an then enter in all you coupons. No more eye rolling cashiers, heavy sighs/foot tapping from people behind you, but best of all...you scan your own coupons so no judgy cashiers saying you can't use that when you know you can!! Loved it.

Party food!
We are attending a 6th Birthday party on April 6th and of course I suggested that I could help with some paper and food supplies since the stockpile is bursting at the seams this month with all the great deals lately. So I decided to take on the Publix Bogo sale this week on Chips and Soda, since those are to essential party item that I didn't have in my stockpile. Frito Lay Family size is Bogo at $4.99 and Pepsi Bogo at $1.89 which without any coupons is still a great deal! I happen to find a coupon for buy 2 tostitos get a free baked lays & Publix had a coupon for free stacks when u buy 1 bag of family size Frito Lays....!!! So I was able to get 2 bags of Tostitos, 2 bags of baked chips, and 2 lays stacks all for $4.99 Hell ya! Then for the Pepsi I got lucky and found hang tags for bogo dr.pepper and since Pepsi bottles dr.pepper inTampa they were included in the sale which equaled 10 free bottles of Dr.Pepper for me :) so for $4.99 I got 6 bags of chips and 10 bottles of soda. Who said Party planning is hard....! Of course that's not all I bought ;) I added a photo of the entire shop $200 total retail paid $15 bucks! I'll take it!

Welcome!
Hi Y'all!
I'm an avid couponer and always looking for the best deals. I've decided to start a blog because my friends are always asking me how I save so much money each month on groceries, beauty care, toiletries, ect. There really isn't anything out there that I can't get a deal on . My husband likes to joke that I'm an extreme couponer ever since that show came out, but the difference is that my shopping is realistic. No I don't have 120 bottles of yellow mustard or 150 bottle of soda sitting in my closet, but I do have a reasonable stockpile that contains all the items that my family needs! For the Year 2011 we purchased around $13,000 worth of grocery/health care items and paid $660 for a 95% savings, and thats not all just junk food y'all. We buy fresh produce, bread, milk, meats, poultry, and other mainstays. The hardest part is really learning how to take advantage of every sale and stocking up on the items that your family needs and is going to use. I'm not a fan of buying things just because they are free, we have a rule, if it's not going to be used or donated to a friend who can use it we don't buy it.
The goal of my Blog is not to boast or brag about my great shops, or to junk it up with EVERY great deal out there. But to really just share my stories, experiences, and shopping adventures from a Blogger point of view. Sure I'll throw in some photos every-once in a while, and tell you about some amazing deal that I've found and want you to act on, but mostly it will be filled with adventures in couponing. It would be great if you could leave feedback in the comments section, and of course I will be calling upon you from time to time to get a little conversation going. So lets have fun with this. No coupon match-ups, or deal of the day here just real life couponing at it's best.
